Little Bugs party set video

Little bugs party set printed out in full color. I used card stock to print these out with my home printer. The cupcake toppers are printed out as 2.25 inch circles and punched out with a 2 inch scalloped edge paper punch that I got from walmart.com. The cupcake toppers were made by taping a toothpick to the back. If your party is for small children, use a finger nail clipper to clip off the sharp end of the toothpicks so no one can get hurt. I used the card stock to print the party hat out with. After the hat is cut out, roll into a hat shape and tape the flap to hold it so it won't unroll.

Buffalos in Yellowstone Park Wyoming

We had the good fortune to visti Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and Montana this April 30th. The buffalo are amazing to see here. The buffalo walk right past your car through the park. We even saw some baby buffalo only a few hours old walking along the road following the mother. The buffalo are so huge, silent and fearless. They look right at your with their big brown eyes. They walked so close to our car we could have put our hand out to pet them - but we didn't. As they walk along you only hear the sound of their hooves hitting the pavement. The snow was still on the ground in Yellowstone park. So the areas that the snow was melted had very short grass as the buffalo had eaten it so short.

Today we saw a mother deer and her baby. They were not scared of us and let us come up close to take their photo. I love how big and fuzzy their ears are. Then accross the street we saw another mother deer and her fawn. We also saw some sadness- one baby deer was killed along Garden of the God's Road. The street is 6 lanes of traffic in the city. They do not have a stop light where it happened so the cars were probably driving too fast.

When I was little, about 9 years old, my cousin Valerie and I had a turtle club. We had matching turtle rings and made up turtle club member cards. There was a place in Arnonld's Park, Iowa called the Curio Castle where we would often ride our bikes on summer afternoons. The Curio Castle had a museum in the back with a huge sea turtle that was real but stuffed on display. It was over 6 feet long. It was cool to go and look at it.

We also would find live turtles on the lakes of Okaboji that we would catch and hold. My favorite were the painted turtles. If we were really quiet we could catch one sunning himself on the rocks.

I was so busy making this design and my daughter kept asking me if I was done yet. So I stopped working on this and remembered my real focus. To work at home to be near my children. My children are the real driving force behind this business. So I can be there for the and watch them grow up. When I took a break, we went into the kitchen for a snack. I watched in amazement as my 6yr old, for the first time, made a recipe for flat bread dough all on her own. She said, "Mom, don't help me. I know how to do it." And she did. I was only needed to cook them on the hot skillet and she did everything else. I would have missed this if I had been away at some office working. I am so thankful for being able to work near my children so I don't miss their accomplishments. I took these photos today of my Little Lady Ladybug Collection.

I would appreciate any comments about how I can improve the photo set-up. My scalloped edge paper punch that I ordered arrived today. My 3 year old and I had lots of fun cutting out scalloped edge circles to make these ladybug cupcake toppers, ladybug stickers, thank stickers or gift tags. She also helped me to bake the cupcakes.
